Golden Severum eggs ! No success Agian ..

My Golden Severum had laid eggs again but all eggs were gone when I checked next day. Maybe be they are still new to this. They seemed to be faning eggs at first but I notice there were few white eggs but they didn't remove those.

Both times they laid eggs on bottom of the tank ( Its a bare bottom tank )maybe thats the reason..

One of Golden Severums are Having an Eye Disease

Well since few days one of my Golden Severums are ill. It seems some kind of eye problem. One of his eyes looks like its about to pop out. Its outer line has become blue. Now i feel like the other eye is becoming like that too. I'm checking and search online about this but so far haven't found anything about this. I wonder this is the condition called " Pop eye ". Says it can result from rough handling, gas embolism, tumors, bacterial infection, or vitamin A deficiency. If this is the case then my Golden Severum is having a bacterial infection. I read that bacterial infection can be treated successfully with penicillin or amoxicillin.

Inexperience Golden Severum Parents

Well those eggs didn't last long. Next Day I had found that Female Severum eating eggs and Male peck her when she try this. SO I removed her to another tank. Next day all eggs had gone. So I guess male finished the rest. I think this Golden Severum pair is still inexperience. So I have to wait and see. I move them to another tank again.

Golden Severum Breeding !

Well Today I nearly had a heart attack. Like 2 months ago I d bought a pair of Golden Severums from a local pet shop. I d found then in a tank full some kind of Tilapia variety. The Golden Severums had been beaten crap out. they didn't look very good all broken fin but I bought them coz i was looking for real Golden Severums pair.

So I had taken them home and put them in a 24x24 octagon shape tank and let them recover. Today I noticed they breath bit hard so I thought to change the water 50%. and they seemd attacking the tube when i was taking water off. Then I realized that there are eggs on bottom of the tank ! Pair seems fanning over them.

It's really cool but I don't know eggs would last or not because water is not very good.
